The weather has been a little rainy over the last week or so but for Androsians that means one thing...CRABS! The rain drives all the land crabs out to the ocean, where they lay their eggs. Androsians catch the little critters and cook them up to make delicious meals. On June 12-15, there was an All Andros Crab Fest, where the Bahamians celebrated the land crabs. The population on the island tripled as everyone came home to Andros and celebrated with their families. Some of the SHB guests went out to the Park and enjoyed stuffed crab and all the festivities.
